Antibacterial toe in MTPS

How does the antibacterial toe in mediven thrombexin 18 work?

The antimicrobial properties have been proven to considerably reduce hospital micro-organisms (incl. Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Escherichia coli, Bacillus cereus) and fungi (Candida albicans) between the toes and at the metatarsophalangeal joints.

The effect is not achieved by simply applying a substance to the stocking, but is rather instilled by a physicochemical manufacturing process. This guarantees that the bacteriostatic effect is retained, even after multiple washes. Although this toe does support general hygienic measures, it cannot replace them.

A blinded study initiated by medi with a study period of about 18 months showed that there was no increase in the allergy rate. The tests to Oeko-Tex Standard 100 confirmed the skin tolerability.
