Achimed® Achilles tendon soft support

Achimed® is a soft support for the Achilles tendon designed to compress and relieve the tendon and surrounding tissue.

Our innovative comfort knit, with its enhanced transverse and longitudinal stretch, offers an extended relief zone in the instep area. A stretch zone at the top edge further facilitates easy application, making Achimed® a truly unique product. 

The support features a unique two-part, enlarged 3D silicone pad that delivers a gentle massage effect without exerting pressure on the Achilles tendon. Included wedges allow for heel elevation, offering pleasant relief in cases of acute Achilles tendonitis. 

Achimed is ideal for conditions requiring soft tissue compression with localised pressure pads on the Achilles tendon, such as acute and chronic Achilles tendonitis, achillodynia, and achillobursitis.

Thanks to its relief zone, patients with high insteps particularly benefit from the bandage's comfortable fit in the sensitive instep area. The innovative knitted design ensures a precise fit with a 90-degree angle, emphasised arch, and extended underfoot coverage. The compressive fabric (CCL2) also stabilises and relieves the joint while enhancing proprioception.

Featuring Clima Comfort technology, Achimed efficiently wicks moisture away from the skin's surface for a dry and comfortable wearing experience. The blend of high-tech fibres and eucalyptus-derived natural fibres ensures breathability and skin-friendliness, and the integrated Clima Fresh function inhibits odour thanks to unique thread technology in the production process.

For added convenience, the bandage comes with a donning aid made of balloon silk.
